SHORT FILM
This was another project that was graded for our module ‘Intro to Cinematography’ while I was in 2nd year at Griffith College.
In a group of 8 students, it was asked for each of us to direct one short scene that explores all the different angles and shots that DOP use while filming on set. My DOP and I were able to use a medium wide shot to capture our actor and panning down towards the ground where he can reach his socks.
The script was about a guy who’s about to buy drugs from a drug dealer for the 1st time. The actors were members from our class and I think did a pretty good job in bringing this scene to life along with all of our visual interpretations throughout the film.
Overall I think this very short film was a great exercise for aspiring cinematographers and the amount of dedication and commitment everyone needs to make with the camera and other aspects respectively.
